This is a small, erect shrub growing to 3m or more. Its leaves are large and lanceolate. The blade is green with yellow veins, and it has flowers that are in panicles and yellow in color.
Sanseviera trifasciata
This is a herbaceous, succulent perennial plant to 90cm tall. Its leaves are flat, thick, leathery, sword-shaped and variegated, grayish green with narrow, yellow cream band along the margins. It is native to India, and widely distributed in towns and cities in the Philippines. The Sanseviera thrives best in loamy clay soil, and is propagated by root division.
Schefflera odorata
A loosely hanging and vigorously growing epiphytic herb, the stems of this plant are long and green. Its leaves are opposite, more or less green, round, fleshy, grayish green. It is endemic to the Philippines, growing in thickets and forests at low altitudes and along the seashore.
Selaginella wildenovii
Creeping or trailing herbaceous club moss with long, slender stems and branches. Leaves are dimorphic, peacock blue, feathery, 4-ranked, spreading and triangular in shape, to 2cm long. Native to India and West Indies. Found in most tropical countries, widespread in Philippines. Prefers moist and shady places.
Setcreasa pallida syn. Tradescantia pallida
Commonly known as the Purple Heart. Forms a thick foliage, somewhat succulent, leaves are alternating whorls, peduncled, oblanceolate 3 to 6 inches long, with tint of red but the intensity depends on its exposure to sunlight, thus termed purple heart, flower; in umbels, small, hairy, solitary, dainty, subdued, commonly with 3 petals but sometimes 4. Cultivated for its attractive foliage, widely grown in gardens distributed through out the Philippines.
Solanum pseudo-capsicum
A shrub to 1 m tall. Its leaves are simple, alternate, oblong to oblanceolate, to 10cm long, wavy and glossy green above. The flowers are white and solitary, few at a node. It has globose fruit that is reddish or yellow and to 1cm in diameter. It is native to the Old World. Grown in gardens and propagated by seeds.
Syngonium podophyllum
A huge sometimes cultivated clmber with thick foliage, epiphytic, leaves; lobed, with long and succulent stem, flowers; commonly white also varies from red to orange to green.
