Locally known as Kamo-Kamotihan; Kupit-kupitan. A creeping or crawling sometimes twining herb, rarely adaptive to aquatic environment, rooting at the nodes, stems are succulent with central hollow cavity, leaves; ovate to orbicular, with sharp teeth pointing outwards, concave as it reach the tips, inflorescence; axillary, umbelliform, solitary, color ranges from pink to purple borne in a peduncle of up to 12 cm long, fruit; globose, oftenly brown, sometimes spherical, armed with soft bristles, up to 6 mm long. Commonly seen in dryland, in vegetable and rice plantations throughout the Philippines and the tropics.
